Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to visit Zanzibar?
June to October and December to February are the driest and most pleasant months. The coast is best avoided during the heavy rains from March to May.
How do I get to Zanzibar?
By scheduled flights from Arusha, Kilimanjaro or Dar es Salaam, or by ferry from Dar es Salaam. Some international flights also land on the island.
How long should I stay?
Three to seven nights is typical. Four to five nights is a common beach extension after a safari.
