Changuu, better known as Prison Island, lies a short boat ride from Stone Town. The island's main attraction is a colony of giant Aldabra tortoises, some of them over a hundred years old.
You can walk the forest for birds, peacocks and butterflies, and swim or snorkel in the clear water around the island.
