Safari is safe when you follow a few simple rules. Your guide briefs you on the first day and is always the best source of advice.
- Stay inside the vehicle on game drives unless your guide says it is safe to step out
- Keep your voice low and never stand up or lean out near animals
- Never feed wildlife
- At camp, follow the staff's instructions after dark. Do not walk alone at night
- Keep valuables in a safe place and watch your belongings in towns and markets
If something goes wrong
If a safari vehicle breaks down, we send a rescue vehicle within two to four hours, depending on your location, and your guide works to make up the lost time. If needed, a flying-doctors evacuation or a transfer to a nearby lodge can be arranged.
